Ahsan Ali

Ahsan Ali is the seventh generation from the traditional family of the Kirana school of Indian music.He has ably put the less heard traditional Sarangi instrument on a different scale by infusing it in a variety of genres.He is the part of athe music band ‘HUM ENSEMBLE’.

Derek Beckvold

Derek a Fulbright scholarship holder with working experience with the Global Music Institute and the NGO Music received his Bachelor of Music in Saxophone Performance from the New England Conservatory studying with Ken Radnofsky. He has performed a wide range of music across North America, Europe, Africa, Asia, Middle East and taught music extensively in US (Boston), Afghanistan, Sri Lanka, Palestine, Sudan.
To diversify his musical knowledge he is under the tuteledge of the renowned table player Pt Shailendra Mishra.

Shailendra Mishra

Shailendra Mishra is a renowned Tabla maestro who is the person behind the conception of Vyom-the infinity, an organization which is working to make Indian and International genres of Music available to the masses. He has students who are well acclaimed in their fields and in the field of music, nationally and internationally. He is striving to make the music scene in India multifaceted and widely available at all levels.
Tombak / Darbuka
Fakhroddin Ghaffari

Hailing from Kurdistan, Iran Fakkhruddin Gaffarihas bachelors and masters degree in Hindustani classical music. Worked with several Persian classical ensembles in Iran.He founded the Baran Music Ensemble a Persian sufi and classical music ensemble,with whom he has toured across India, including such festivals as Sufi Darbar, Ruhaniyat, Jehan-e-Khusrau, Jamal-e-Begum-Akhtar. In 2009, he formed the Vessal Ensemble by blending the Baran Music Ensemble with East Marries West.

Imran Khan, an acclaimed violinist renders high quality music which soothes the hearts of millions.The violin is a western string instrument.It is the smallest, highest-pitched member of the violin family of string instruments, which includes the viola, cello, and double bass. The violin is played by musicians in a wide variety of musical genres, including Baroque music, classical, jazz, folk music, and rock and roll. The violin has come to be played in many non-western music cultures all over the world.
Bharatnatyam
Medha

Medha is one of the leading Bharatanatyam dancers, a highly committed teacher and an innovative choreographer. She has extensively traveled across the world. She is a Post Graduate in choreography from Natya Institute of Kathak and Choreography Masters in Fine Arts (MFA) in Bharatanatyam from Sastra University ,Masters in Science (MSc.) in Psychology. Presently she is pursuing research work in dance therapy.
Flute
Rajesh Prasanna

Rajesh Prasanna is the latest signature in the realm of flute playing in the country. Born & hailing from a renowned family of musicians of Varanasi he has taken to music by inheritance.The rigorous training and his practice for so many years has enabled him to grasp andmaster the intricacies of Indian Classical music and develop a style that is respectful of tradition, yetfull of innovation on Flute.

Ranjan Kumar Beura

Hailing from bhubanesh war oddisha is a disciple of Pt Sunil Singh Mohant and Smt K Bhuvaneshwari Mishra. He is masters in music. A young violin player Representing kirana school of music,he is equally adept in various generes like Carnatic, Jazz, Irish etc.

Rajib Karmakar

Rajiba promising young sitar player receipient of SURMANI from Sur SringarSamshad, Mumbai , Baba Allauddin Khan Award he is also a Gold Medalist in M.A. ( Music ). Rajib is performing frequently all over India and abroad. He has three Cds under his name till now. Rajib’s versatility has ably adapted his classical knowledge and skill in his fusion projects like FUZORHYTHM(India),LOOP SCIENCE(Germany), NADA NAISSANCE( France) etc. He is the creator of the world’s first double necked electric Sitar ” MAYUR TANTRI” .

Sandip Chatterjee

Globally acclaimed santoor player (disciple of Pt Tarun Bhattacharya and Pt Ajoy Chakraborty) started his musical journey at the age of eight. He has many awards, collaborations and cds to his credit.He has been known by the connoisseurs as most talented and established santoor player at his generation.

Shriomkarnath

Shriom karnath represents both the Kirana Gharana and Atrauli Jaipur School of music. A graduate in Psychology he completed Masters Degree in Music . Winner ofmany prestigious awards he has performed all over india and abroad in many prestigious festivals.It was a moving experience for Omkar to teach the under privileged children in Afghanistan National Institute of music. He also taught the faculty members of Kabul University.his teaching.
Tabla
Tarang Poddar

Tarang Poddar is a drummer and percussionist based in Ahmedabad / New Delhi / Berlin. He performs a variety of styles including Funk, Jazz, and Indian Classical among others.
Tarang is a tabla player too, and is the disciple of Pt Shailendra Mishra in New Delhi.

V-om organizes Music concerts and promotes music among the people. Music has a universal language which transcends the geographical boundaries created by man. Programmes by V-om.
In its endeavour to create soulful music and promote it among the people V-omorganises a lot of events and concerts catering individually to various groups and genres of people.
FOR CORPORATE WORLD
Various concerts are organised for the corporate world where the programme lasts for about 30-60 minutes. These programmes are usually based on the motive of de-stressing. The various instruments and styles of music from India and abroad are used to create a unique experience that enlivens and enriches the mind.
THEMATIC CONCERTS FOR SPECIAL EVENTS
Various themes are chosen as base for these concerts. These are organised for any organisation / institution / baithaks / corporate world etc and are tailor made for the event. They are based on particular themes and the Raagas and Taalas chosen for the particular theme helps you transcend into a virtual reality that soothes and embalms your spirits.These concerts are usually 60-90 minutes long.
FOR SCHOOLS AND COLLEGES
Various stage programmes and workshops are organised for schools with the sole intention of spreading awareness among children about not only their own rich cultural heritage but also about world music. They are exposed to various styles of music of India and abroad. They get to know about a broader spectrum of music. They get an exposure to various styles of music and various musical instruments being used in the world through stage programmes and interactive sessions.
FOR MUSIC FESTIVALS - INDIA AND ABROAD
V-om presents performances for various musical festivals in India and abroad. Artists from various countries are invited as guest artists too to be a part of these concerts.
CLASSES OF DIFFERENT INSTRUMENTS AND STYLES
V-omorganises classes for learning different instruments and styles of music. These classes are of three levels- beginners, Intermediate and Advanced. Timings and frequency of classes are subjective to the needs of the learners.
COLLABORATION WITH OTHER GROUPS AND MUSICIANS
In its endeavour to bring all kinds of music under one fraternity V-om’s efforts have been remarkable. Collaborating and organising events with the musicians of the world creates a synergy that brings them closer. It’s a continuous endeavour on V-om’s part to constantly collaborate and experiment with new kinds of music.
WORKSHOPS AND LECTURE DEMONSTRATIONS
Various lecture demonstrations (on Indian, Western, and World Music, as well as Instruments) and workshops are organised on demand for spreading awareness about Indian, western and world music. NGOs, Music Institutes and other organisations are the various clients for these kinds of fests.
